Ratan Tata Death News: Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons breathed his last on Wednesday. He was 86. As per reports, the veteran industrialist was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after his blood pressure dropped suddenly. Later he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) following a sudden deterioration in his health.
Taking to X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wrote: “Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to making our society better.”
“I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age-related medical conditions,” he asserted in a post on X. “There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits,” he said, requesting the public and media to refrain from “spreading misinformation”.
Ratan Tata Was Suffering From Low Blood Pressure
Earlier, reports emerged that Ratan Tata was hospitalized after his blood pressure suddenly dropped. “Experiencing sudden drops in blood pressure can be quite concerning, and there are several reasons why this can happen. A common cause is orthostatic hypotension, which occurs when you quickly stand up, causing a brief dip in blood pressure. Dehydration is another factor that can lead to these drops, as insufficient fluid intake can impact blood volume and how well blood pressure is maintained. Moreover, some medications designed for high blood pressure or heart conditions might have side effects that include sudden drops in blood pressure,” said Dr Pratyush Mehra, Delhi.
